Experience Día de Muertos through a unique gastronomic journey that celebrates Mexico’s culinary traditions with Casa Humo. Sat, Nov 9th at 6 pm Featuring art and crafts Corner, cooking workshop, storytelling, and a festive feast for an immersive experience. Event Overview: Celebrate Dia de Muertos with a unique gastronomic journey that honors the rich culinary traditions of Mexico. This event will combine cooking classes, storytelling, and a festive feast, creating an immersive experience for all attendees. Event Highlights: *Welcome Reception: -Guests are greeted with traditional Mexican beverages like Atole and Champurrado. -A brief introduction to the significance of Dia de Muertos and its culinary traditions. *Cooking Classes: -Pan de Muerto Workshop: Guests learn to bake the iconic bread of the dead, guided by expert chefs. *Storytelling and Altar Building: -Share stories and memories of loved ones who have passed away. This is be a touching way to honor their memory -Guests participate in building a traditional ofrenda (altar), decorating it with marigolds, candles, and photos of loved ones. *Art and Crafts Corner: -Guests can create their own Dia de muertos crown or mask -Face painting stations for those who want to adorn themselves with traditional Catrina makeup. *Festive Feast: -A communal dinner featuring traditional dishes such as Tamales, Pozole, and Calabaza en Tacha (candied pumpkin).Atoles, chapurrado and aguas frecas. -Music. *Closing Ceremony: -A candlelight procession to honor the departed, with guests placing candles and flowers on the ofrenda. -A final toast with Mezcal or Tequila, celebrating life and remembering those who have passed. (adults only) *Additional: -Photo Booth: A themed photo booth with Dia de Muertos -Gift Bags: Each guest receives a small bag with traditional mini pan de muerto, a recipe booklet.
